Origin story
It started with a shopping list.
My wife writes the shopping list. I do the shopping. Quite frankly, her handwriting is illegible — and I say that as her husband, with love.
Kitchen Share started as a way to take a photo of a list and have it on my phone before I left the house. Then we wanted somewhere to keep the recipes we actually cook, not just the ones we might cook one day. Then we wanted the recipes to build the shopping list themselves. Then we wanted help on the nights neither of us could think what to make.
Each piece solved a real annoyance in our kitchen. We hope it solves a few in yours.
What it does

Recipes you actually cook.
Save recipes from anywhere — paste a URL, snap a photo of a page, type one out, or import from another app. They live in your collection in clean, readable form, with the messy SEO blog text stripped out.
A pantry that earns its keep.
Log what's in your shelves — by hand or by photo. Plan around what you have. Cut down on what gets thrown away.
A meal plan, when you need one.
On the nights you can't think what to cook, ask the app. It'll plan a week of meals around your diet, your pantry, what you don't eat, and how much time you have. Lock the plan and your shopping list builds itself.
Heirlooms
Bring the old wisdom into the digital age.
Your grandmother's recipe card. Your mum's index of family favourites. The one your friend scribbled on the back of a takeaway menu, years ago.

Privacy & AI
AI features are optional.
Kitchen Share works without AI. Write your shopping list by typing. Type recipes in by hand. Log your pantry yourself. Plan your week the old-fashioned way. The app is yours, fully, without ever turning AI on.
The AI features — handwriting recognition, recipe URL parsing, pantry photo scanning, meal planning — are there when you want them. They speed things up. They don't run the show. You can switch them off in Settings, and the rest of the app keeps working exactly as before.
When AI is on, your data goes to processing providers (currently Google and Cloudflare) only for the feature you're using. We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't track what you cook.

Kitchen Share costs £5, one time. That gets you the app forever — shopping lists, recipes, pantry, sharing, the lot.
The AI features run on credits. Your purchase includes enough credits to use them generously for months. When you run out, you can top up — £5 buys roughly a year of normal use for most households. You only pay if you keep using AI.
